WTF is dial-up grandpa?
August 27th, 2010 at 4:40pm | 1 CommentToday is my birthday. And although birthdays can be great for the gifts and attention, they are also a reminder of years gone by. In my annual birthday chat with my mom, I was telling her how my work was going and we started reminiscing of the challenges I faced when I was doing internet work in my teens. I thought I'd share. read more »

Power to the people
July 12th, 2007 at 1:10pm | 1 CommentMatt’s post pointed me to this article about film studio execs failure to understand their industry. I’ve previously expressed my frustration with the movie industry, their lack of understanding of what people want, and their unwillingness to make changes in their industry. This article strengthens that argument on another front. One of the best parts ... read more »

David “The Hoff” Hasselhoff Music Video
July 9th, 2006 at 2:09pm | 2 CommentsI just watched this music video posted by Matt. This is probably the best music video of all time. I was in tears. My favorite parts are the Hoff dancing with the star wiping background and when he kicks the biotch out of his car after finally convincing her to get in the car. Check ... read more »

July 7th, 2006 at 9:50pm | No CommentsMan, it’s been a great summer for rockin’ new album releases. January 18th, 2006 at 10:02pm | No CommentsLast night I had my first guitar lesson and it went great! I learned a new strum style (the “rest stroke”) and learned to use it to play a song. I haven’t really taught myself too much since I bought my guitar a few months ago, but these lessons should help for sure. I will ... read more »

The Arcade Fire at the PNE Forum in Vancouver
October 12th, 2005 at 2:26pm | 2 CommentsLast Friday, I went to see The Arcade Fire at the PNE Forum with some friends from work. What a show. Terrific! The performance was incredible through and through, you could really tell they were giving 110%. Sometimes live performances don’t quite live up to the studio recording, but this was not the case here. ... read more »

Your ear deserves some Arcade Fire
September 1st, 2005 at 9:17pm | No CommentsOf all the new music that I’ve discovered this summer (Alexis on fire, Audioslave, The Killers, etc), I am most excited about The Arcade Fire. This band out of Montreal is ripping it up since they released their album Funeral last September. The only unfortunate thing is that it took a whole year to reach ... read more »

Matthew Good Coming to Fredericton
October 25th, 2004 at 9:50pm | 1 CommentMatthew Good is doing another round of Canada this year, stopping again here in Fredericton, NB. I caught his show earlier this summer just before his new album “White Light Rock and Roll Review” was released. The performance was great, but unforunately the venue (Sweetwaters) was crap so I could barely hear the music from ... read more »
