was searching 4 the way to show tasks as a sidebar..followed ur instructions to the T, and got the tasks in my Gmail…thx 4 the post…

i accidentally closed Tasks and cannot get it back! i’m using gmail for google apps on firefox 14.0.1

I take it back…it does work, but not very elegantly, at least in Firefox. Not so useful.

This trick doesn’t seem to work in the new Gmail.
You can add the URL to Gadgets, but Tasks doesn’t appear even after saving changes.
