As promised I’ve posted pictures from our surfing trip in Tofino two weeks ago. I’m just getting around to actually blogging about it.

It was a fuckin’ blast! Since it was just us four guys, we dubbed it Sausage Surf. The surfing on Saturday was pretty good because there were lots of waves, but on Sunday it wasn’t so good. Still had fun though. I didn’t think I would be able to do much, but surprisingly I was able to get up and actually ride some waves.

Over the course of the weekend, we paid an incredible amount of “idiot” tax. For example, we missed our ferry reservation on Friday and paid for a hotel when we could have stayed at our friend’s place for free. Luckily it was still a fairly inexpensive trip, so it’s all good. I’m definitely going to get out surfing again. I will probably plan something for the fall but first I need to get out for some whitewater kayaking.
