Rather than attending church and having a big ass Turkey supper like a good ‘ol boy, I played five games of hockey this past Easter weekend: one Friday, one Saturday, and a heretical three on Sunday.
The powers that be must have noticed my recklessness as they marked me with a plague of misery (also known as the common cold). A burden bestowed upon me on the eve of the most treacherous week of the year (2 presentations and two large term projects due).
I suppose it is also possible that the sniffle I had before this weekend just got worse as a result of exhaustion from playing a lot of hockey and consuming a lot of beer. Although, I don’t imagine some religious folks would agree.
As for the result of our hockey tournament, we came in 2nd out of 33 teams. Not bad for a bunch of sinners.
