Walter’s Snow Globe Appreciation Society: Who’s in?
January 29th, 2006 at 9:51pm | No CommentsWhen I was searching for Ruby user groups in Vancouver, I stumbled upon this site called Meetup. It’s actually a pretty good site, but some of the groups are ridiculously hilarious. I particularly enjoyed Walter’s Snow Globe Appreciation Society. I think I’ll join in on their next meeting. I’ve just got to get out there ... read more »

January 26th, 2006 at 12:19pm | 23 CommentsTip: Trackball mouse getting a bit sticky? Rub your nose or forehead with the finger or thumb you use to control it and presto! Guitar Hero in Training
January 18th, 2006 at 10:02pm | No CommentsLast night I had my first guitar lesson and it went great! I learned a new strum style (the “rest stroke”) and learned to use it to play a song. I haven’t really taught myself too much since I bought my guitar a few months ago, but these lessons should help for sure. I will ... read more »

The new AJAX-powered features admin interface and WYSIWYG editor are fantastic and definitely make the blogging experience more enjoyable. I am actually surprised at how quickly the WordPress developers have come out with an AJAX implementation. Of all the PHP software ... read more »

Weapons in space: A defining political issue
January 13th, 2006 at 11:07am | No CommentsIn the past, I have written my opinion of putting weapons in space. For me, a political party’s firm stance on this issue can define their values and of course determine whether or not they are idiots. The CBC is reporting that the Liberals just leaked they would seek an international ban on putting weapons ... read more »
